The Yard of Stones

Here the stones lie
One over here one over there
There is another one
Of love they remember
Of war and peace
Of the beauty and the other
Or of the unknown
That one over there is her
That is very simple
Water stands there
It remembers not its place to go.

Near a Fire or Flame

The fire burns light years away
On the distant planet known
There is the one fire
The fire that burns for all of its people
Together they live
Without the problems
Music lives within their hearts
They never leave their muse
It is sung over and over
Beautiful to a full bloom that never fades.

A Flat Navy

Flat navy leaves Galveston
They head toward Mobile Bay
Slowly bringing grey zombies along
They float in a water of oily soup
Known as the Gulf of Zombie
The zombships leave their port
What shall become of the graduate
What shall become of broken bottles
Left to float their soul on the waters
Flat navy was the color of their ribbons.

Hole in the Yard

There is a hole in the yard
It is not hard to see
It lingers in its own space
Pulling you in with its force
Until you have a slow fall
On your face.
Its tragic.
Hurts.
